BBC Approved Camera List

The BBC uses the EBU’s Recommendations for high definition cameras. We follow those recommendations and adhere to an annual list of cameras suitable for HD production, as published by the BBC. This means that on every production we will use the very latest in camera technology to provide you with the most flexible end project. Should you want to broadcast, it wouldn't be a problem. What's more, using the most up-to-date technology ensures your project will look great for years to come.

Currently Colonel Duck Productions uses the Canon XF300 as standard. The camera combines an MPEG-2, 50Mbps, 4:2:2 codec with a Canon L-series lens and 3 Full HD CMOS sensors for superb HD video stored on CF card.
